My boyfriends nieces LOVE Despicable me, 1 and 2 (they act like minions and everything - too cute)! So the youngest had a minion themed birthday party and I had to get crafty! How could I resist! I decided the kiddos would love to hit a pintata so I made a minion pinata out of a piece of bristol board. It was so simple. I cut the bristol board in half and rolled it up (stapled and taped the edges). Then I used the other piece of bristol board, cut it in half and made it fit inside the bottom and top (after I filled it with treats of course!) Then I cut strips of tissue paper and taped them around the pinata to look like a minion! Here's the finished product - and the kiddos loved it!
Then I decided to make them each a pair of minion shoes! What kid wouldn't love wearing shoes with minions on them! So I set out to find some sneakers at Giant Tiger. I had fabric paint at home so I set out to paint minons onto the shoes. Here's the finished product :)
